Bio – Dawn L. Armstrong is a humanitarian, speaker, blogger, and lover of all people. Dawn came from very humble beginnings, yet managed to fight her way out of abuse, extreme poverty and statistics. Throughout her career, Dawn served as a Director at St. Mark’s Hospital for 13 years, where she specialized in addiction recovery, motivational workshops, clinical care and sensitivity training. Dawn was the first person in the State of Utah to achieve several National Awards for Excellence, and has served as a consultant for several hospitals throughout the Intermountain West.
Although she very much enjoyed her career, Dawn’s heart has always lied in service. She enjoys her work within various homeless foundations, women’s prisons and juvenile detentions centers. Dawn has served as a mentor for the People Helping People Foundation, who’s mission is to create opportunity and aid for young single mothers, leading them back on the road to success. She works with youth, women and men throughout the world, and treasures any opportunity to help others realize their potential, their power and God given divinity.
Dawn’s crowing glory is her husband Craig, and 8 beautiful children Anthony, Tre, Drew, Ethan, Julian, Ava, Sophie and Payton. They are her world and the loves of her life.
Dawn recently started a viral blog called lovedawn.com where she tackles life, love and the pursuit of joyful living. She is currently writing her autobiography, “A New Dawn” which highlights the struggle to break the chains of abuse, neglect, and poverty. In it she provides insight on how to heal from the wounds of this world, and go on to have an extraordinary life.
