THURSDAY, JULY 26
Option One… A Day in America’s Finest City: San Diego
2017 Options, 2018 TBD
11:00 am – 2:30 pm Urban Hike @ Balboa Park
Come join us for a day in San Diego, at historic Balboa Park, site of the 1915 U.S. – Panama Exposition, known for its Spanish architecture with museums, gardens and attractions at this year’s OC Conference. We will have both Midsingles and Single Adult hosts to greet everyone at the Spreckels Organ Pavilion. Exploring the vast Balboa Park is considered an “urban hike” — a great way to get a head start and meet new friends in a casual setting as we kick off the conference. During our hike, we can grab some lunch together in the park, preferably at Craveology, located next to the Fleet Science Center.
Insider driving tip: From Orange County, traveling down to San Diego can be a 2 hour scenic drive down the coastline depending on traffic. Allow at least 2 hours to give you ample time to get to the activity or to the temple.
Insider parking tip: Park inside Balboa Park behind the Spreckles Organ Pavilion.

From Downtown San Diego to Governor Building: take 5 Fwy North, to 52 Fwy East. Take Regents Rd Exit, turn left. Turn left on Governor Drive. LDS Church located on Right at the end of the street. Plan for 30 – 45 minutes with traffic.
4:00 pm – 5:15 pm Smaller Fast-Casual Early Dinner Groups
We may break into more than one dinner group if needed, or depending on how busy the restaurants are at that time, but right now our thought is to meet up to eat by 4:00 pm – 5:15 pm. Get in line to order your food, and don’t wait for the group to arrive. All restaurants are fast causal, meaning everyone can order and pay separately. We will have hosts to greet you. You will need to finish up and head to Temple to be dressed and ready for Chapel Session at 6:00 pm. Restaurants are located across the freeway from the San Diego Temple.
Our hosts will meet you here before the temple.
6:00 pm – 8:30 pm Temple Sessions @ San Diego Temple
6:00 pm Chapel Session (inside temple) with member of San Diego Temple Presidency
6:30 pm Endowment Session
