Tennis Clinic & Mixed Double Play - details for 2018 coming soon  8-10 am tentative

If you are interested in the Friday Morning tennis clinic with tennis pros, and mixed doubles play afterward on July 27th of the Orange County Singles Conference, email  for more info.   All levels are invited to come including beginners - advanced.  Once we secure all the details, we will request a $10 non-refundable deposit required to sign up for tennis, you will be given the host's information to venmo to secure your spot, total cost will be determined soon.  Please bring your own racquet if you can as we will only have a few loaner rackets.

Want to get out in nature? Come enjoy an invigorating morning hike with other singles! This a great way to get to know a smaller group of friends prior to the conference starting.

Advanced Beginner/Intermediate

HIKE 1-  Wood Canyon Hike (in Aliso Viejo) - Adv. Beginner/Step Up to Intermediate

8:15 am – 10:30 am  This 5 mile loop is rated as moderate with an elevation gain of 954 feet, uneven, rocky terrain; It's considered a good step up to intermediate for advanced beginners. Meet first at Click-Fil-A to use the restroom then leave at 8:30 to drive the couple minutes to Canyon View Park. Park, and watch for no parking signs.  We will do a quick count and introductions at the front of the neighborhood park before we walk down the concrete path to the Wood Canyon Trail Head entrance. This 5 mile loop trail hike is rated as moderate, with an elevation gain of 954 feet, uneven, rocky trails with some elevation gain; Very popular with mountain bikers, so will have to be aware of the bikers; The first part of the hike will have some shade but the last half is exposed to the sun. Bring WATER.

Chick-fil-A to Canyon View Park is just a 5 minute drive. From Click-fil-A, turn right on Aliso Creek, turn right on Pacific Park Dr, turn left on Canyon Vistas, Canyon View Park  is on  left. Ample street parking available.  Hike starts at the Canyon View Staging Area.

After the hike in Aliso Viejo, feel free to join the rest of conference attendees for our beach party and BBQ Hot Dog Lunch in Laguna Beach.

HIKE 2 - Bluff overlook hike at Laguna Beach, short but steep walk up a paved path to a beautiful overlook in Laguna Beach

10:30 am - 3:00 pm   OC Conference Beach Hang-Out in BEAUTIFUL LAGUNA BEACH!

After your early morning activities, cool off at the Beach with friends.  Stretching along the bluffs on Cliff Drive from Aster Street to Diver's Cove, the oceanfront Heisler Park features walking trails, gardens, depending on tide you may explore a marine refuge with tide pools, picnic tables, barbecues,  and grass as well.   We plan to gather to enjoy the beach together below Heisler Park.

12 noon - 1:00 pm  Meet up at the picnic tables for a BBQ with Hot Dogs and chips!  We will have water bottles.   Bring a snack to share if you can for our little picnic or join us with your own lunch. Lunch will be at Heisler Park at the picnic tables with green grass just down the slope, overlooking the ocean.  Located on the corner of Cliff Drive and Myrtle Street, near the Heisler Park statue. Look for "OC LDS" Signs to find the group.

A Short walk - Boat Canyon Shopping Center (Pavilion's) - all day free parking (park at rooftop parking lot or along Cypress Street)

1:00 pm - 3:00 pm  After lunch, enjoy the beach or go explore!  You do it your way!

  • Beach party on the sand at Picnic Beach at Heisler Park. You can catch waves,  explore tide pools, or play some beach games.  Water and snacks provided on the sand.   If needed, golf cart shuttle service provided by local LDS members back to Pavilion's parking lot.
  • Go walking & explore on your own or with friends Downtown Laguna Beach, Main Beach, and Laguna Beach's Art Galleries and Artist Studios. 
  • Sawdust Art Festival,  Love arts & crafts, go check out one of SoCal's most popular summer arts and craft festival. $9 admission.
  • Catch the Free Laguna Beach Trolley and explore the coastline.

Insider tip: Small groups heading to the Sawdust Arts Festival or Downtown Laguna Beach can take the free Laguna Beach Trolley

  • Explore other beaches nearby like Crystal Cove State Park
  • Fashion Island -- Premiere outdoor shopping destination with ocean views located in Newport Beach. Great place to just window shop or get anything last minute before the conference.  If in the Irvine area, Irvine Spectrum is another great outdoor shopping alternative.

Insider tip: Allow your optional activity choice to end by 3:00 pm, so that you have time to get ready and drive out to Friday evening's festivities.  There is traffic in Orange County, check apps like WAZE for driving times, etc.

Driving tip: Coto Valley Country Club, located within the prestigious gated community of Coto de Caza (referred by some maps as Trabuco Canyon), has two main gates. One on the south side at the end of Oso Pkwy and Coto de Caza Dr. The other gate on the north side next to Rancho Santa Margarita on Antonio Pkwy and Coto de Caza Drive.  Coto Valley Country Club is located on the north side of Coto de Caza. Be prepared once entering Coto de Caza, for no street lights, so it will be very dark after dusk and hard to read street signs, so another reason to arrive early or on time. :)  Please follow directions from your phone closely.  Coto Valley Country Club is located past the Dog Park and Polo Club on Via Venado.
